Gabinet nowego prezydenta Europy Donalda Tuska
Dzisiaj miało miejsce przejęcie prezydentury Donalda Tuska z rąk ustępującego Prezydenta Hermana Van Rompuy.
Herman Van Rompuy w swoim przemówieniu powiedział: ” To jest prezydent pochodzący z kraju, który 25 lat i kilka tygodni temu był oddzielony od Unii Żelazną Kurtyną (…) To jest bardzo specjalny moment”
Donald Tusk podkreślił istotę sukcesu Europy i przedstawił cztery priorytety:
1. Ochrona podstawowych wartości takich jak: solidarność, wolność, i jedność przeciwko zagrożeniom Unii.
2. Determinacja do zakończenia ekonomicznego kryzysu.
3. Unia Europejska i jej siła na arenie międzynarodowej.
4. Relacje pomiędzy Europą i Stanami Zjednoczonymi są podstawą wspólnoty demokracji.
